What "bench verified" means
Anyone can write "tested and working." Verification only means something when it is specific enough to be falsifiable — so every claim we make is one you could check yourself.
The checks
| Return to zero | The instrument is cycled and must return to its zero reading, repeatedly, on camera. |

| Reference comparison | Readings are demonstrated against calibrated gauge blocks, not against another instrument of unknown state. |
| Serial pairing | Verification photos and video include the instrument's serial number, so the evidence belongs to the exact unit you receive — not a stock photo. |
| Mechanical condition | Travel, feel, and mechanism condition are checked and described honestly, including wear. |
The bench
Checks are performed in a temperature-controlled QA room with professional-grade references, including a Mitutoyo grade 0 micrometer verification set and a full gauge block set. Temperature control matters: a steel standard and a steel instrument only agree when both are at reference temperature.
Why this matters when you buy used. The used market is full of instruments that look right and measure wrong — and of counterfeits of the most trusted brands. Documented, serial-paired verification is the difference between buying a photograph and buying a measurement.
